Top 3 Plant Based Meal Delivery Plans

10 days, 355 days to go on a plant based lifestyle.

This week has been incredibly hectic. I recently got a new job and the transition has been unbelievably stressful and also resulted in much longer hours spent away from home. Normally I would’ve given in by now and I would’ve ordered lunch or grabbed something pre-prepared at the grocery store; However, I anticipated my tendency to give in under pressure and ordered a bi-weekly meal delivery service.

I have tried several meal delivery services in the past and my top 3 contenders are:

1. Veestro

If you want a meal ready to go, non-gmo, plant based, organic and great variety this is the way to go. They also have juice cleanses for 3, 5 and 7 days. The downside is that it can be a little pricey, about 9 dollars per meal. I only use about 3 meals per week when I come home late and have absolutely no energy to cook for myself.

2. HomeChef

This is a great option if you are limited on time but still want to cook. If you like to cook and involve the kids this can be a lot of fun. It has recipe cards, all ingredients are perfectly proportioned and it is budget friendly about 7 dollars per meal. They cater to just about any type of dietary restriction and you can select whatever meal plan works best for you family.

3. Sun Basket

This is another super versatile meal plan delivery service. They even have a diabetic friendly meal plan and this is the most budget friendly meal delivery plan out there at only 6 dollars per meal.

I have to admit I didn’t “believe” in having meals delivered, I figured they are way to expensive and not as healthy as cooked at home meals. Unfortunately all my good intentions would go out the door and I would end up tossing food out because I didn’t have time to cook. Once I analyzed my budget a little better I actually ended up saving money if I took into account the wasted food and eating out instead.

As women we put so much pressure on ourselves to be the perfect wife, mother, daughter and set sometimes impossible standards. Most of the women I coach feel really guilty if they don’t get to cook for their families every night, despite working a full time job. That amount of pressure it certainly takes its toll on our health. I firmly believe that adapting to our circumstances is not failure, it is just being smart. I don’t suggest that you should not cook a healthy home cooked meals for your family if you have the time, but I do hope you find that balance that allows time for yourself as well.
